Lorenz Ray “Enzo” Payonga has more than eight years of experience in energy and sustainability – wearing engineering, commercial, and academic hats. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University and a master’s degree in Sustainability Science from the University of Tokyo, both under full scholarship. He also holds a certificate in New Ventures Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His accelerated corporate stint at Schneider Electric, experience from energy tech startups Exora Technologies (Philippines) and Challenergy (Japan), and previous freelance consulting projects prepared him to take on this new endeavor of supporting clients through his own private consulting practice.
Born and raised in Guinobatan, Albay, Philippines, Enzo lived in Manila for nine years and in Tokyo for four years; in addition to having visited 12 other countries in four continents. Thus, he prefers to consider himself a global citizen with a Filipino spirit. With mentors, friends, and contacts from all over the world, he has become adept with various cultures and confident to collaborate with anyone regardless of where they came from and what they believe in.
